SETTING UP
Water: Choose the right ratio of coffee to water based on how many cups of coffee you would like to make.
Grind: Use a coarse grind, roughly the size of rock salt or sanding sugar.
Coffee to Water Ratio:
Grams: 1 gram of coffee for every 16 grams of water (1:16)
Tbsp/Oz: 1 tbsp of coffee for every 3 oz. of water (1:3)
BREWING STEPS
1. Next, boil water to approximately 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Add coffee in the base of the french press.
3. Gently saturate grounds with hot water, allowing the coffee to "bloom" or de-gas. *Add only enough water to saturate the grounds and wait 30 seconds.
4. Pour the remaining water over the coffee. Let steep with plunger in the raised position for 4 minutes.
5. Press plunger down and serve!
